Horodi was a pilot the Alliance to Restore the Republic who served aboard the Mon Calamari Star Cruiser Independence during the Galactic Civil War.
Keyan Farlander, acting under the influence of the dark side, promoted aggression in Horodi and several other rookie pilots, hoping that he could create a squadron of pilots, guided by the Force, who would be unstoppable against the Galactic Empire. Farlander selected Horodi, along with Casal Marskan, to assist him in a mission to recapture a pair of CR90 corvettes which had been captured by the Empire. Both Horodi and Marskan were killed during the mission when their X-wings were destroyed while fighting against enemy Assault Gunboats.
Farlander had been unaware of the nature of Force-sensitivity and initially considered their deaths as proof that both pilots were unworthy of the Force.
