Horox retired in 22 BBY, and handed the title to the younger Zo Howler. He was one of the few Senators who disagreed with the corruption, and agreed with the code of honor of Senator Bail Organa. Upon his retirement, Ryyder received the Royal Chalcedony Shield from Bail Organa; he was one of few non-Alderaanians to receive the award, in recognition of his dedication to peace.[2]
He was present at Galaxies Opera House for the Squid Lake performance in 19 BBY.[3]

Horox Ryyder was performed by Jerome Blake.
For Episode I, the costumes for Horox Ryyder and Graxol Kelvyyn were exactly the same. It was later changed so that the first character wore the collared-robe depicted above, and the second character wore a blue tunic.[source?]
