Hospital was an XQ2 Platform located in deep space, a short hyperspace jump from Brint-wo Colony.
History
Edit
In the aftermath of the Battle of Hoth, many injured Rebels were taken to this station for treatment and rehabilitation under Commander Beckman; they were watched over by the MC40a light cruiser Shadow. Their respite was short-lived, however, as an Imperial task force, led by Admiral Garreth Holtz commanding the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Corrupter, dropped out of hyperspace and began a TIE Bomber assault of the hospital.

During the fighting, both Ace and Emon Azzameen distinguished themselves by destroying many TIEs. Thanks primarily to their efforts, at least 66% of the Rebel personnel escaped. Despite their bravery, they were unable to save the Vasudra, a bacta supply ship crewed by their father and brother. Both Tomaas and Galin Azzameen were lost, and presumed killed in the battle.
The hospital itself was evacuated by the Rebels, and then seized by the Imperials.
Behind the scenes
Edit
The exact location of the Rebel hospital is not specified in Star Wars: X-wing Alliance.
Although many of the allotment of Rebel ships parked at the base carry wounded from the Battle of Hoth, it is uncertain if these ships, particularly the two GR-75 Medium Transports, were present at the engagement.
