The House Guard was a private security force based in the Tapani sector during the reign of the Galactic Empire, and was responsible for the protection of the seven Tapani Noble Houses.

The House Guard was formed following the culmination of the Clone Wars, as the Empire was unable to patrol the entire Sector and maintain the security of individual Houses. House Mecetti of the Mecetti Province had previously established its own private House Guard, which may have inspired the Sector-wide version. Each House enjoyed the protection of its own Guard, and these forces were the only military group allowed to travel outside a House's provincial holdings.
