Hunter Squadron was a starfighter squadron of BTL-B Y-wing starfighters in the service of Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars.
Hunter Squadron made a risky precision hyperspace jump to get behind the blockade enabling the fighters to make a bombing run on the shipyards. The initial wave of Proton bombs was successful in destroying some frigates, but Master Plo Koon realized that there were many more vessels and that they would not have enough bombs to destroy them all. He reordered the squadron to change their targets to bring the shipyard down on itself. The attack runs were successful.
