Huoba Neva was a female Sullustan, the daughter of a SoroSuub executive board member. It was this connection, along with her impeccable grades and political reliability, that secured her an appointment to the Imperial Academy despite being both a woman and an alien. She graduated fourth in her class, majoring in command and weapons systems.
Although largely apolitical, after three years without being assigned even a minor command, Neva's patience grew thin. It was at that time, when fighting with the Rebel Alliance was growing more and more pitched, that Sian Tevv recruited her into the Rebellion.
Neva became the youngest Sullustan ship commander in the New Republic Navy. She helped defeat the Imperial-backed uprising in the Illoud system. For that action, she was given command of the EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate, Rebel Star. Neva died during the Fourth Battle of Coruscant in 10 ABY when the Rebel Star collided with battle debris in orbit around the planet.
