Hybrid plexisteel was a raw material used in capital ship construction. During the rawmat shortage of 1–2 ABY, hybrid plexisteel was one of the materials that had become scarce.^[1] Hybrid plexisteel was light and easily molded when heated. But once cooled, developed into a light weight, armor strong material, that was highly resistant to blasters.^[source?]
