Hydenock were a species of tree originally from Alderaan. Fortunately, they had been cultivated elsewhere before Alderaan's destruction at the hands of the Galactic Empire, providing the survival of the species. Most of the time, hydenock trunks curved in the middle. Both the bark and the leaves were a shade of red. Because of this, red dye was often made by boiling hydenock bark. Gungans on Ohma-D'un used this tree to make bubble wort.
