The Hydra was one of four Imperial I-class Star Destroyers stationed at the Maw Installation as part of Admiral Natasi Daala's squadron.

The Hydra was destroyed when Han Solo flew the Sun Crusher through her control bridge during his escape from the Maw Installation. Control of the vessel lost, it was pulled into one of the Maw's many black holes, where it was crushed by intense gravitational forces.
