Hyperbaride

Hyperbaride was a cytotoxic mineral that readily became an industrial waste. Normally the price of hyperbarides ranged around 2,200 credits per kilogram during the Galactic Civil War, though this varied according to Imperial price controls.
Hyperbarides could be synthesized from normal elements, but the process was very expensive, requiring high pressure, temperature and a lot of energy. If existing naturally, hyperbarides came in compounds, such as ilinium trioxide or Vintrium hydride, wich were less valuable than pure materials.[1]
Around 8,000 BBY, it was found occurring naturally on Goroth Prime by Corellian scouts in small concentrations in the crust. Not many other planets had this chemical makeup.[1]
It was released in an accident when Waste Canister Delivery Port 84-D-21 in the Desrini District of Coruscant misfired.
The Galactic Empire had several syynthesis plants, but the location was a high-guarded military secret.[1]
