A hyperwave transmitter was the radio device used aboard starships to send ultra-fast messages through hyperspace. ISBe was the first company to develop the technology for this device.

Behind the scenesEdit

The Star Wars Sourcebook mentions "hyperradio", a technology conceptually similar to hyperwave communications. The Sourcebook states that hyperradios are extremely expensive and a closely guarded Imperial secret, which seems to contradict later established information on hyperwave technology.
