The ice worms were large predatory creatures from Akuria II. Their burrows honeycombed Akuria II's icy surface, making it highly dangerous to walk on.
Ice worms were green, slug-like creatures, with mouths filled with sharp teeth and lined with tentacles. They moved through their burrows on a series of small pseudopods.
By the time of the Galactic Civil War, they were nearly extinct.
