Ilic was the capital city of New Cov. It was built under a dome to protect the inhabitants from carnivorous plants.

Rebel leader Garm Bel Iblis ran a phantom company named Amethyst Shipping & Storage in Ilic to supply his secret base Peregrine's Nest during the Thrawn campaign.
