An Imperial Combat Engineer was a specialist within the Imperial Army. They utilized thermal detonators to assist in their work. Nine troops could be organized into a engineering squad. With one of them been a sergeant, another been a demolition expert with military experience in a sharpshooter squad. And seven other been regular combat engineers. Similar to the sharpshooter squad members, members of the engineering squads were drawn from among the special missions troopers. Their predecessors were the clone engineers.
