An Imperial Fortress was a military installation used by the Galactic Empire. It was gray and blue on the outside and prismatic in shape. Constructed by ASP-7 labor droids, Imperial Fortresses were used to produce military units such as the Imperial Star Cruiser or the Shock Cannon, or the Phase I dark troopers and the Phase II dark troopers. One was destroyed by the Wookiees and Rebel Alliance on the Avatar Orbital Platform, also killing Moff Darcc and Trandoshan slaver Pekt in the process, during the liberation of Kashyyyk. Another was also destroyed during the battle of Hanoon near the city of Magentic to free the city from Imperial control in exchange for the Vor'Na'Tu shard.

Behind the scenesEdit

Imperial Fortresses appear in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and its 2002 expansion pack. These fortresses are buildable in the Empire campaign, or if the player captures an Imperial worker droid, or in the multiplayer mode. They are destroyable during the Rebel campaign.
