Imperial Forward Outpost XT-23 was a Sith Empire military position on the planet Balmorra during the Great Galactic War and the aftermath of the Treaty of Coruscant. Its garrison consisted of a complement of humanoid Sith battle droids. In defiance of the treaty, the Jedi Knight Fortris Gall rescued the Republic Demolitions Squad 419 from captivity at the Troida Military Workshop.

They then launched an attack on the outpost, wiping out all resistance and destroying all battle droids. At the end of the attack, Jedi Master Orgus Din arrived to persuade the younger Jedi to depart from Balmorra. He also informed him of recent developments on Dantooine where Republic troops had refused to depart with their commander and were still engaging Sith forces; in violation of the Treaty. Din ordered Gall to assist him in suppressing the mutiny.
