The audience chamber of the Imperial Palace was located on the penultimate level of that building's central spire. A vast, circular room without partitions, it featured a ten-meter-tall podium upon which the Galactic Emperor Palpatine sat in a simple chair. While visitors entered the chamber by means of a public elevator, the Emperor himself accessed his podium from his residence by private lift.[1]
