The Imperial communications ships were Super Star Destroyers[1] and other vessels used for communication and coordination purposes by the Imperial Navy.[5][4]

The larger ships were fitted with dozens of HoloNet transceivers to aid their role.[1] In addition to Super Star Destroyers, like the Pride of Tarlandia, the Empire also utilized modified Star Destroyers as comm ships. Such was the case with the Avenger at the battle of Endor.[5]
