Imperial land assault troopers, also known as Imperial Army assault troopers, were Imperial soldiers deployed in ground assault missions. Several land assault troopers were stationed aboard the first Death Star.

Behind the scenesEdit

The look of the Imperial land assault trooper is based on unused concept art from The Empire Strikes Back of a vehicle pilot. The Death Star Technical Companion is the only source in which the land assault trooper appears, which may imply that this infantry type was intended only for deployment from the Death Star. Unlike other infantry classes (such as the Imperial Army trooper), a listing of game statistics and standard equipment for the land assault trooper is not given in the back of the book.
