The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

One of the throne rooms of the Imperial Palace on Coruscant served as the public seat of the Galactic Emperor from the foundation of the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY at the end of the Clone Wars. In addition, it was in this throne room that Palpatine was nearly killed in an attempted coup by Headmaster Gentis.

History[]

During the Gentis Coup, Palpatine was nearly killed by Headmaster Gentis' military coup against the new Emperor via Aorth-6 at his throne room, which he only survived due to his connection to the dark side of the Force.[1]

In large part because of the attempted coup, the finalization of the Imperial Palace was hastened.[2]

Layout[]

The layout of the throne greatly resembled that of the later Imperial Palace throne room, which was completed alongside the Imperial Palace itself circa 18 BBY.

Behind the scenes[]

It was initially assumed to be located in the Emperor Palpatine Surgical Reconstruction Center, although Randy Stradley confirmed that it was indeed intended to be the Imperial Palace.
