An instruction cassette was a medium by which a manufacturer could deliver assembly instructions to those who bought their products.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] an Amorphiian company was selling mini-transmitters outside the Amorphiia system; the purpose of these items was to translate speech into one of 1,000 other languages. Because the mini-transmitter needed assembly, it came with an information cassette to explain the assembly process.[1] This cassette was hosted by an Amorphiian male named Dromboid.[3]

"I Have a Bad Feeling About This!"—Star Wars Insider 106, p. 32, uses the name "Dromboid" in conjunction with this character, but it does no specify whether it is the character's proper name or an alternative name for his species. However, the 4th draft script for The Star Wars Holiday Special p. 109A, confirms that the character's name is in fact Dromboid.
