"Oh, by the way, a former Imperial Navy lieutenant you had court-martialed is about to release a memoir. Into the Maw: Black Holes, Egos, and Other Forces that Devour Lives. Guess who it's about."
―Wynn Dorvan to Natasi Daala, on the memoir[src]

Into the Maw: Black Holes, Egos, and Other Forces that Devour Lives was a memoir written by a former Imperial lieutenant. The ex-Imperial Natasi Daala, now Galactic Federation of Free Alliances Chief of State, had court-martialed the lieutenant, who had once served with the Imperial Navy. The lieutenant wrote the memoir about Daala and planned to release it around 44 ABY, as public support for Daala began to decline.[1]

Shortly before the release of Into the Maw: Black Holes, Egos, and Other Forces that Devour Lives, Daala's aide, Wynn Dorvan, learned of the planned memoir and informed her about it.[1]

Behind the scenes

Into the Maw: Black Holes, Egos, and Other Forces that Devour Lives was first mentioned in Fate of the Jedi: Backlash, the fourth novel of the Fate of the Jedi series, written by Aaron Allston and released March 9, 2010.
