Iraidas were a species of predatory reptomammals that were native to the planet Alderaan. They were known for their exceptional hearing and extreme resistance to the cold. Whilst distantly related to the Bolraida, the Iraidas had demonstrated far superior levels of intelligence than their more vicious brethren. As a result, they were cunning predators and also led to them being used in a limited role as watch-beasts as well as playing a part in gladiatorial challenges.^[1]
