Irem Gehldon was the acting ambassador of Chandrila at the time of the destruction of Alderaan.
Biography
He was descended from a line of senior officials and embodied the archetype of the seasoned diplomat. Loyal to senator Mon Mothma, Gehldon sought to convince the other delegates of Palpatine's treachery. The ambassador committed suicide in his own office shortly after the official imperial announcement regarding the destruction of Alderaan.
