CharacteristicsEdit

The Ixiyen was designed to be a dominant force in the average fighter-on-fighter confrontation. It was also armed and protected well enough to be able to harry much larger ships.

HistoryEdit

Although not used in large numbers by any governmental organizations, it was not for lack of quality or performance. The Ixiyen was a deadly opponent, capable of holding its own against most of its contemporaries in front-line combat craft.

The Ixiyen's focus on starfighter combat made it a fine choice for pilots expecting to meet resistance in flight. As a result, the Ixiyen was used quite extensively in the time of the Galactic Civil War by mercenaries and agents of Black Sun, as well other independent groups.
