J'aahn was a member of the Disciples of Ragnos cult.
[edit] Biography
In 14 ABY J'aahn took part in an attempt to disable a cargo train in Coronet City, Corellia. Unfortunately for him, Jaden Korr, Jedi Initiate, had boarded the train and was endeavoring to stop the Cultists.
J'aahn's fate is unknown, he was in the young Jedi's path, but Jaden, in a hurry to save the train, may have avoided him or spared him in combat or, indeed, killed him. If Korr indeed killed him, it is unknown how he killed him.
[edit] Behind the scenes
The pronunciation of J'aahn's name is revealed in the dialogue by another of the Cultists (named Hokk), who speaks to him over the comlink. It sounds like the common European/United States names John, Jon, or Jan, but the spelling is revealed in subtitle files.
The dialogue, which identifies J'aahn, is a reference to Soldier of Fortune, another game by Raven Software. Both games contain an exchange of dialogue which involves characters with the names John and Hawk, and refers to "Station 6C". In Jedi Academy, the spelling is changed to "J'aahn" and "Hokk". Also, the player may or may not hear the whole message. If J'aahn sees the player, the message will be cut short and J'aahn will start firing at the player.
