JTR-47 was a training droid used in the Jedi Temple to help young Jedi hone their skills. Prior to the Battle of Naboo, JTR-47 had a hand in helping Obi-Wan Kenobi through the course, instructing him on how to use the Force to jump, Force push, and throw and fight with his lightsaber, among other abilities such as how to disarm a blaster-wielding opponent.

In Star Wars: Obi-Wan, all of the droids that you do not "kill" in the training course are named JTR-47. While possible there were more than one of the droid, the name was probably reused each time for simplicity's sake.
