Jal Shey Neophyte armor was, as the name suggests, used by the Jal Shey neophytes. The neophytes were those who had just begun their life-long quest to understand the intellectual nature of the Force. Their armor was very lightweight and, as such, did not encumber the wearer of the ability to utilize Force powers. This armor saw use in the time around the Jedi Civil War.
