James Eckhouse voiced the characters from Outpost Beta in the Empire Strikes Back radio dramatization.

To American television audiences, he is perhaps best known as Jim Walsh, the patriarch of the Walsh family, on Beverly Hills, 90210. He also had supporting roles in Trading Places with Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy, Fatal Attraction with Michael Douglas, and Big with Tom Hanks.
