JanFathal was a planet in the Outer Rim Territories and was once part of the Republic. The city of Athar was located there. During the Clone Wars, the planet was seized by the Confederacy of Independent Systems, trapping Republic agent Hallena Devis there as a prisoner. A Republic warship, Leveler, commanded by Captain Gilad Pellaeon, arrived and deployed a contingent of Jedi and clone troopers to rescue Devis, which they ultimately did.
