Janks was a Phindian member of the crew of the Uhumele, and was chief engineer Meekerdin-Maa's assistant. Two months after the end of the Clone Wars, Janks was captured on the planet Pizkoss and taken into custody by the Galactic Empire. He was personally interrogated by Darth Vader himself.
