Janse was a Rebel scout and sharpshooter from Ukio, who held the rank of corporal. Before his service, he was a BlasTech employee who evaluated new weapon designs. He joined the Rebel Alliance shortly before the Battle of Endor, and served as part of General Han Solo's strike team. He also supplied the Alliance with several BlasTech A280 blaster rifles. One of these rifles was used by Lieutenant Greeve during their mission to Endor.
