Plot summary

Padawan Nason Laric and his Jedi Master Niquon are sparring in the mountains of Skalokor when they were approached by an aging Dolandu named Borta. He is carrying a deactivated assassin droid which Niquon recognizes as a threat to the two Jedi. He dispatches Laric to the planet Yabosta to get his technician friend Lowghen Badra to dismantle the droid. Traveling there in a cloudjumper Laric faces a number of challenges before returning to Skalokor. Badra had discovered the droid contained drethi venom which was lethal to Force-users. Laric returned to his world with an antidote.
