The Jedi Archives of Ossus was a smaller collection of materials than its larger counterpart in the Jedi Temple of Coruscant. Located in the Ossus Academy, the Archives, like its equivalent, were open at all hours and were accessible to all Jedi in need of information.

History[]

The beginning of the archives collection being collected at Yavin IV.

After the destruction of the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4 and the end of the Yuuzhan Vong War, the New Jedi Order relocated to Ossus where Jedi historian, Tionne Solusar compiled a great wealth of manuscripts and holocrons from the Old Jedi Order's scattered treasures.

In the later years of the Galactic Civil War, after the retaking of Coruscant by the New Republic, Master Tionne added data to the stacks regarding the history of the Rebel Alliance. Recovering the founding scripts of the Order from within the Sacred spire and great amounts of information from the Palpatine's treasure rooms, Tionne quickly built up a great collection. Tionne would also come into possession of the Great Holocron, a great discovery for the Jedi Order. She moved the information from Coruscant to Yavin 4 to Ossus in order to keep a solid grasp on all treasures and so that she could update and research thoroughly.

When the Coruscant Temple was rebuilt, Tionne moved a large portion of the information back to the stacks on the Galactic capital. Due to her involvement at the Ossus academy though, Tionne formally established a branch of the Archives at the academy. Used to educate Younglings and to help in research, the archives contained a thorough collection of galactic history and politics; though it was not used to store detailed information of the Sith or their technology.

During the Galactic Alliance Guard invasion, Dark Jedi Alema Rar infiltrated the Archives and was disappointed to find it lacking information on her new acquisition.

When the academy was abandoned for the safety of the Jedi's secret Endor base, the archives were stripped of information and taken offworld. While the academy was closed and abandoned, The recovering Master Solusar continued her work out of the larger Archives on Coruscant.
