The Jedi Council Spire of the Jedi Temple was one of four main sections of the complex. Key to communications, this area contained the most conference rooms, transport bays, the Jedi Temple Map Room, and holomap rooms. Along with communications, it was the hub of training facilities and lightsaber crafting for the Jedi Knights.

Built upon the foundations of the ancient Jedi Temple, many of the rooms were refurbished versions of past rooms during the Clone Wars, many repurposed as the Temple expanded. The early Archives room would later serve as a museum of Temple history, while one of the old studies was converted into a banquet hall. Among the many living quarters and briefing halls were lightsaber training halls and lightsaber crafting chambers.

Hangars for surface and space craft lined the roof of the Ziggurat, along with the Jedi Temple communication center, where Lari Oll kept track of incoming communications and maintained the Jedi beacon. Below the High Council Chamber was a large situation map that alerted the most senior Jedi to problem spot throughout the Galaxy.

During the raid on the Jedi Temple, Darth Vader slaughtered younglings who fled to the safety of the Council Chambers in this quarter. The Jedi beacon would be compromised and the chambers within scoured of all life. Along with all sections of the Temple, many halls were filled with smoke and ancient statues were toppled.
