Jedi Lord

Jedi Lord was a title used by members of the Jedi Order during the New Sith Wars.

Overview
Edit
It was used as a military rank within the Army of Light, similar to the rank of Jedi General during the Clone Wars. The use of the title was abolished in the Ruusan Reformation; it was seen as carrying the connotation of conquest and political power, while the Jedi's role under the reformed Republic was to serve the Republic and act as peacekeepers. Some Jedi, however, preserved the title to use it as an indicator of skill, as with the title Master. During the Dark Nest Crisis, the title was briefly brought back by UnuThul, who became the self-styled "Jedi Lord" of the Colony, though there is no evidence it was done to acknowledge the term's use by the ancient Jedi.
