The Kashyyyk chapter house was one of several such structures located across the galaxy and maintained by the Jedi Order.

HistoryEdit

Following the 32 BBY reemergence of the Sith during the Trade Federation's invasion of Naboo, the Jedi High Council decided to increase its academy program by opening a series of chapter houses and outposts across the galaxy to supplement the training of Padawans outside the Coruscant Jedi Temple.^[1]

The academy's headmaster, Grand Master Yoda, served as Watchman of the Wookiee homeworld and was assisted by Jedi Master Mavra Zane in the education of their charges. The chapter house's inaugural class had only just begun their training when the armies of the Commerce Guild and Trandoshan slavers attacked the world. During the battle, many students were killed, the chapter house was destroyed, and the survivors were rounded up and imprisoned.^[1]
