Jedi geologists was a term used by the Jedi Order to describe a Jedi Researcher who specialized in the field of geology. These Jedi Knights and Jedi Masters who studied as a geologists were all members of the Agricultural Corps, and were needed to assess the composition of alien crusts on recently discovered worlds. Their work allowed the seed-sowers and harvesters to best plan the farms and orchards that needed to be planted on the planet.^[1]

One known geologist during the Golden Age of the Old Republic was Michael Tandre who crash landed on Orellon II, passing on his knowledge of farming to the local Kentra where it became a planetwide religion..^[2]
