Jedi historian robes were a type of Jedi apparel reserved for Jedi historians and Jedi librarians. Jedi historian robes were based on Ansatan design, displaying Ansatan symbols of knowledge and wisdom.

Jocasta Nu who was in charge of the Jedi Archives on Coruscant in the years leading up to the Clone Wars wore a Jedi historian uniform, as did Atris, who would wear a white variant of the uniform—blending in well with the polar environment of the Telosian northern pole where her secret academy was situated—some four thousand years before Nu. Other Jedi historians such as Dorak and his apprentice Deesra Luur Jada preferred ordinary Jedi robes. In the New Jedi Order, there was no longer a tradition of wearing Jedi historian robes, and Tionne Solusar, the Jedi scholar in residence at Luke Skywalker's academy, preferred wearing elegant Rindaoan dresses. However, by 40 ABY, Master Tionne began wearing a variant of the robe with no sleeves.
