- "…a ship…a cup…a ship…a speeder."
- ―Anakin Skywalker
The Jedi testing screen was a portable viewscreen used by members of the Jedi Order to test potential candidates for training.[1]
The testing screen was devoid of any buttons or controls, and was instead activated by the Force.[1] The device was programmed to display a series of unconnected holographic images on the screen, held out of view of the student, who would then attempt to divine the object shown using the Force.
Anakin Skywalker was tested by Mace Windu and the Jedi High Council using a testing screen in 32 BBY.
