Refugees in the Jendirian Valley

The Jendirian Valley was an AA-9 Freighter-Liner manufactured by Botajef Shipyards that could reach speeds of 420 kilometers per hour and was 390 meters in length. As a refugee transport, it had a passenger capacity of 30,000 and had over three months worth of emergency consumables onboard. It was equipped with a Class 4 hyperdrive, three powerful engines, a starboard and port boarding area, multi-deck accommodation,[1] several cafeterias, and various service droids.[2]

HistoryEdit

The Jendirian Valley was utilized as a refugee transport during the Separatist Crisis shortly before the Clone Wars. After a plot to assassinate Senator Padmé Amidala of Naboo failed, the Jedi High Council thought it better that she be sent back to her homeworld using unregistered transport and protected by a Jedi escort.[3]

Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi was dispatched to track down her assassin, while Padawan Anakin Skywalker and R2-D2 were sent with Amidala. Amidala, Skywalker, and R2-D2 boarded the Jendirian Valley on Coruscant and eventually reached Naboo.[3]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Jendirian Valley first appeared in the 2002 episodic film, Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.[3] It was later identified in the canon 2018 reference book, Star Wars Encyclopedia of Starfighters and Other Vehicles.[1]
