The Jer'N be' Milad Vel Lightning Gun was one of the more eccentric creations of the Jer'N j'ber. It was mounted on a turret similar to that of a quad laser, only it featured a charge belt held underneath, and fired a bolt of what appeared to be chain lightning. Its usual payload fired at a strength of 6x10 to the 18th power joules per shot.

A lightning gun appeared on the newly repaired Millennium Falcon when Boba Fett ambushed Han Solo after the creation of the New Republic. After hasty repairs, Solo counter-attacked, using the newly installed lightning gun to shred large sections of Slave I, causing Fett to flee, abandoning Slave I to be captured by the New Republic and left to rust in a breakers yard.
