Jilst Bindalin was a dark side adept hailing from the planet Alsakan. At some point by 3 ABY, he learned the location of a Killik Sith warrior's tomb on the world Sarafur and, after stealing an artifact, traveled there. Bindalin then stored the artifact in the Sith's burial as a form of vengeance and was subsequently never seen again.

Biography[]

Jilst Bindalin was a Force-sensitive male individual who lived[1] at some point by 3 ABY.[2] He was a dark side adept and a prodigal son of the Core Worlds planet Alsakan. At some point, Bindalin learned of an old Shistavanen legend about the flight of an ancient Killik Sith warrior from Alsakan to the[1] Outer Rim Territories[3] world Sarafur, where the Sith had died and been buried.[1]

The Alsakani subsequently located the Killik's tomb and stole an artifact. He later hired a Shistavanen starship captain to transport him and the artifact, which the dark side adept kept in an iron case that he did not let out of his grasp, from the Core Worlds to the Moddell sector, where Sarafur was located. During the flight, Bindalin did not divulge any details regarding his goals in the Moddell. The Shistavanen captain left the Alsakani on Sarafur, after which the dark side adept was not seen in the wider galaxy again. Bindalin then entered the Killik Sith's tomb and stored the artifact there as a form of petty vengeance.[1]

At some point by 3 ABY, a group of treasure hunters arrived on Sarafur during a search for the artifacts known as the Tessents. The group explored the Killik Sith warrior's tomb, discovering a vaguely humanoid skeleton, as well as a Sith holocron, in the waters present in the structure.[1]

Race for the Tessent G9

Jilst Bindalin was introduced in the roleplaying adventure "Race for the Tessent."

Jilst Bindalin was introduced in the roleplaying adventure "Race for the Tessent," which was published for use with Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Roleplaying Game in the ninth issue of the Star Wars Gamer magazine[1] on February 22, 2002.[4]

Instead of featuring a set plot, "Race for the Tessent" presents several settings in the Moddell sector, Sarafur being one of them, that the player-characters may visit during their search for the Tessent artifacts. For each of the settings, the adventure also suggests possible circumstances for a Tessent being hidden there, with the section dedicated to Sarafur noting how at some point Bindalin could have stolen the Alsakan Tessent and brought it to the Killik Sith warrior's tomb on the planet. Assuming that as much of the non-contradictory information presented in the adventure as possible is canonical with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity, this article assumes that the Alsakan Tessent was instead hidden on the planet Ast Kikorie.[1]
