Jobal Naberrie was a human female from the planet Naboo. A member of the Naberrie family,[2] she was the mother of Sola Naberrie and Padmé Amidala.[3] Her younger daughter, who was born Padmé Naberrie before assuming the name Amidala, served as queen and later as the representative of their homeworld in the Galactic Senate during final years of the Galactic Republic.[4]

BiographyEdit

Early lifeEdit

At some point of her life, Jobal married a man named Ruwee Naberrie and they have two daughters, named Sola[source?] and Padmé Naberrie.[5] Through her elder daughter, he became grandmother of Ryoo and Pooja Naberrie. When Padmé turned fourteen years, she was elected Queen of Naboo and adopted the name of "Padmé Amidala".[5]

Death of PadméEdit

Three years later, following the end of the Clone Wars and the execution of Order 66, Jobal, Ruwee and Sola attended the funeral of after her death at Polis Massa.[1]

LegacyEdit

The same year of Padmé's passing, Jobal became grandmother of both Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa.[1] She later became great-grandmother with the arrival of Ben Solo, son of her granddaughter Leia and smuggler Han Solo.[6]

Behind the scenesEdit

In deleted scenes for Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, Jobal Naberrie was established as the mother of Padmé Amidala.[7] She was portrayed by Trisha Noble, who reprised the role for Amidala's funeral in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.[8] Jobal's backstory was expanded upon in Star Wars Legends stories, but these stories are currently non-canon.
