[edit] Biography
Joclad often participated in Teräs Käsi matches on Bunduki, during which he refrained from using his Force abilities to give himself an unfair advantage. In one such match, right before the Battle of Geonosis, he was defeated by Phow Ji. Phow Ji took the opportunity to belittle the Force, despite Joclad's explanation that he had not been using it.
Joclad Danva accompanied Mace Windu and his Jedi strike team to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Padmé Amidala on Geonosis. Joclad fought in the battle that followed, wielding twin lightsabers in the execution arena. He destroyed many battle droids and Geonosians and survived to the point where Count Dooku tried to convince Windu to surrender. He was shot as the other survivors of the arena boarded the Republic gunships.[1]
[edit] Powers and abilities
Joclad Danva was known for his fighting prowess, both armed with two lightsabers and with his bare hands. He was a skilled Teräs Käsi martial artist. Danva was a practitioner of Niman and a master of Jar'Kai.
[edit] Behind the scenes
Joclad Danva was portrayed by Kyle Rowling, who was Christopher Lee's partial dueling and stunt double in Attack of the Clones.
If you look closely, during the scene right before the gunship landings, when all of the survivors are in a circle, you see, in one frame, Anakin and Padmé with Joclad Danva standing right behind Anakin, yet the next time you see that spot, Joclad Danva is instead lying on the ground, apparently dead, which doesn't make any sense since you don't hear any shots fired in between the two frames. Whether this was intentional remains to be seen.
