John Chapman (born May 12, 1955 in London, England, UK) portrayed an Rebel pilot Gil Viray during the briefing room and medal ceremony scenes of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. His character is sometimes called "Gil 'Drifter' Viray," and assigned the callsign "Red Twelve," but this has not appeared in any official publication.
