John Chapman (born May 12, 1955 in London, England, UK) portrayed a Rebel pilot during the briefing room and medal ceremony scenes of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Chapman refers to his character as "Gil 'Drifter' Viray" on his website, and assigns him the callsign "Red Twelve." However, no official publications identify his character, and The Essential Guide to Warfare gives the Red Twelve callsign to Puck Naeco.
