John Madden

John Madden (born April 8, 1949 in Portsmouth, England) directed the radio adaptations of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi.
He is best known for directing such films as Mrs. Brown, Shakespeare in Love (for which he was nominated for an Academy Award), and most recently Killshot. He has also directed for the stage and for British television.
John Madden should not be confused with the American football coach and broadcaster also named John Madden, or the John Madden who plays for the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League.
