A joining ritual was a term used to delineate any ritual in which a number of Force users merged their powers together into a single event. Quite often, the Brotherhood of Darkness employed this this practice. Furthermore, the Jedi of the New Jedi Order discovered the effectiveness of joining while fighting the Yuuzhan Vong.
