Jubal was a male^[2] Devaronian^[1] who was living on the planet Tatooine in the years immediately before the Battle of Yavin.^[3] Around the year 0 BBY,^[4] Jubal and Oxbel were the only other Devaronians that Kardue'sai'Malloc, a Devaronian who went under the assumed name of Labria, knew to live on Tatooine.^[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Jubal was first mentioned in Empire Blues: The Devaronian's Tale, a short story written by Daniel Keys Moran^[1] that was included in Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina, which was released by Bantam Spectra in 1995.^[5] Jubal was later mentioned as an example name for Devaronians in Ultimate Alien Anthology, a 2003 book published by Wizards of the Coast for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game. Ultimate Alien Anthology was written by Eric Cagle, Michael Mikaelian, Steve Miller, and Owen K.C. Stephens.^[6] Jubal was again mentioned as an example Devaronian name in the Saga Edition Web Enhancement: Devaronians, an article released on Wizards.com on August 9, 2007. The article was written by Rodney Thompson for the Saga Edition of the Star Wars Roleplaying Game.^[7] In 2008, Jubal received an entry in Del Rey's 2008 The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.^[3]
