Jubal was a male[2] Devaronian[1] who was living on the planet Tatooine in the years immediately before the Battle of Yavin.[3] Around the year 0 BBY,[4] Jubal and Oxbel were the only other Devaronians that Kardue'sai'Malloc, a Devaronian who went under the assumed name of Labria, knew to live on Tatooine.[1]
Behind the scenes
Edit
Jubal was first mentioned in Empire Blues: The Devaronian's Tale, a short story written by Daniel Keys Moran[1] that was included in Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina, which was released by Bantam Spectra in 1995.[5] Jubal was later mentioned as an example name for Devaronians in Ultimate Alien Anthology, a 2003 book published by Wizards of the Coast for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game. Ultimate Alien Anthology was written by Eric Cagle, Michael Mikaelian, Steve Miller, and Owen K.C. Stephens.[6] Jubal was again mentioned as an example Devaronian name in the Saga Edition Web Enhancement: Devaronians, an article released on Wizards.com on August 9, 2007. The article was written by Rodney Thompson for the Saga Edition of the Star Wars Roleplaying Game.[7] In 2008, Jubal received an entry in Del Rey's 2008 The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.[3]
