Jurahi was a male Jedi Master who served the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic during the last decades of the Republic Classic era. A member of the Almas Council, a satellite Jedi Council which oversaw Jedi business in the Cularin system, Jurahi held the title Master of Visions during the Clone Wars.

A Force-sensitive, Jurahi was educated in the ways of the Force by the Jedi Order, eventually attaining the rank of Jedi Master. A pacifist, Master Jurahi had trained as a Consular, specializing as a Seer. Stationed in the Cularin system, Master Jurahi was appointed as a instructor at the Almas Academy, an experimental academy on the planet Almas. Master Jurahi earned the title of Master of Visions at the Academy and was made a member of the Almas Council by the time of the Separatist Crisis.[1]

As a member of the Council and a leading administrator, Master Jurahi was present when Master Darrus Jeht arrived from Coruscant baring orders from the Jedi High Council. To Jurahi's dismay, all excess personnel at the academy were to report to staging areas throughout the galaxy to gain membership in the Grand Army of the Republic. Already a man who disdained fighting and viewed Jedi who "did their thinking with their lightsabers" as the greatest threat to the galaxy, Jurahi was mortified by the demand. He quietly resigned himself to the unchangeable demands, although he did at least give in to irritation long enough to complain, "Who does the Council think we are? We are a school, not a garrison!"[1]
